Breast Research and Support (BRAs)

Following on from the highly successful Breast Care Appeal, we are raising money to enable Frimley Park Hospital to carry out research into breast cancer. On behalf of the breast team I would like to announce a new charity ‘BRAS’.

Here we are at the launch event held at The Aviator in October 2019. I am very grateful for our patients, who’s courage is the teams main driver to look to the future in confidence. We have celebrated a successful fundraising campaign of three years and the amazing spirit of giving of our community.

Many have already helped; individuals, patients and their relatives, companies and retailers. Sally and Kim and their families from Fleet, were the main drivers of the hard work during the fundraising, when they rallied a whole community by painting ‘Fleet Pink’, for a whole week. And we are so lucky to have them back with us again on this appeal.

If you would like to help us by hosting a fundraising event, we would love to hear from you and help you in any way we can.

Thank you.

Farnham Herald ‘Be Beautiful Party Night’

2016-06 Be-Beautufil-Party-ChequeThree hairdressers proved they are a cut above the rest by raising thousands of pounds for Frimley Health Charity’s Breast Care Appeal. Nina Warden, Tracy Taplin and Sharon Lloyd held a ‘Be Beautiful Party Night’, which was attended by 130 people. The evening was opened by myself and raised £3,664 for the appeal. The three organisers later visited the hospital to present a giant cheque. Nina, owner of Be Beautiful Hair and Beauty, said: “We all know someone who has been affected by this terrible illness and wanted to do our best to help”. The full Farnham Herald article can be read here.
