Breast Care Appeal reaches £610,000

TourDeFrimley2015Cheque_1Now that all the fundraising from the Tour de Frimley 2015 cycle challenge has been counted, the Breast Care Appeal received a cheque for £12,000 which has pushed the appeal total to £610,000. This fantastic new total was achieved through the hard work and determination of our 12 Tour de Frimley riders, who cycled over 1000km across Northern France and Belgium in August 2015. The challenge was heavily supported by the 3PWRR Army Reservists in Farnham and sponsored by Brandtastic in Fleet and GearedUp Cycles in Ash Vale.

There will be one more Tour de Frimley cycle challenge for the Breast Care Appeal in August 2016, with 16 riders trying to achieve a fundraising target of £30,000. You can keep up to date with their progress on their Tour de Frimley Facebook page.

Paint Fleet Pink, October 2015

paint fleet pinkPaint Fleet Pink is a fundraising week taking place in Fleet, Hampshire from 10th to 17th October 2015. With the dedicated support of many Fleet businesses and a few celebrities, the organisers Kim Knight and Sally Herman have an incredible line-up of unique events and people, who have come forward to help paint the town pink and support their local hospital. This was a great event to be involved in. The final amount raised is yet to be publicised but it’s expected to be £20k+ which is absolutely amazing. Thank you Fleet!

Run Frimley, May 2015

run frimley 2015In May 2015 I ‘ran’ 10km in support of all those lovely people raising money for our Breast Care Appeal. Although I did train, I will certainly be training harder for next year! A great day was had by all and we saw record numbers of runners and money raised! To the left is a pic of my trainers (Jade and Chris) and me. Thank you for getting me over the finish line in one piece.

Please keep an eye on Frimley Park Hospital Charity to get involved next year. See you at the start line!
